OKC Thunder superstar Kevin Durant has announced that he is donating $1 Million to the families and victims of tornado which hit Oklahoma recently.

As the day went on and I saw the footage and the casualties and the houses being blown away, it was tough to see. I call Oklahoma City my home. I go through Moore all the time. It’s unfortunate. We’re going to come together as a city like we always do and we’re going to bounce back.

It’s always sad to see people suffering from this natural calamaties but it’s a heart warming to know that a player like the Durantulla is there willing to help.

Just a week ago, Panini has released 2012-13 Momentum Basketball and there was somehow a negative response from basketball collectors community considering the price of the box and the hits they have pulled. Yesterday, Panini has announced the upcoming release of 2012-13 Brilliance which is expected to be on the local hobby shop shelves this Wednesday.

From a pure aesthetics standpoint, Brilliance boasts an enchanting combination of surface textures, old-fashioned embossing and finely finished surfaces that should appeal to collectors in completely different ways than the other products mentioned above. There’s also a wealthy share of autograph and memorabilia inclusions in Brilliance that will find a permanent home in many a collection.

The box presell price is at $87 and it promises 2 Autographs, a Memorabilia and of course Parallels called Starburst and Artists Proofs. For that price it seems that this product is similar to Prizm before it breaks out where most collectors were chasing for the Gold Prizm Parallels and I’m expecting a similar scenario will happen for this new embossed product, chasing for the short printed Parallels.

Basketball Problems has tweeted a picture of Derrick Rose in Miami Heat uniform and this is what the captions says “Been sitting on the bench so long in Miami. Might as well stay down here & join them”. You know what, they can shorten it and say something like this “If you can’t beat them! Join them!”

Many of the Bulls fans are disappointed with D-Rose in the recent Chicago – Miami series. There are reports that the 2011 NBA MVP is cleared to play but he opted to stay in the bench. For me, it’s a good decision, inserting him on the team that reached to the playoff without him will affect the team chemistry and there will be a possibility for another injury as playing in the regular season and in the playoffs are two different animals.
