Kobe Bryant – Kaboom

Last May 21, 2014 Panini has announced the return of Panini Innovation for the 2013-14 season and one innovative card that caught my attention, the “Kaboom” card.

Foremost among the new enhancements for 2013-14 Innovation Basketball are the fantastically-illustrated — and quite rare — Kaboom! insert and the diversely-die-cut Top Notch Autographs, both of which are previewed in the sneak-peek gallery that follows. Every six-card pack of 2013-14 Innovation Basketball will deliver two autographs, one memorabilia card one View or Rookie View card, one Stained Glass insert and one additional insert.

With the addition of the foil background, Kaboom is an improvement of the past Fleer inserts which I enjoyed way back in 1994. I got a Penny Hardaway Pro Vision back then (which I don’t remember where it is right now).
