It’s hard to see watching my Miami Heat got humiliated at the home-court of San Antonio as the Spurs crowned as the 2014 NBA Champions at 4-1. The Heat started with 22 – 6 run in the first quarter lead by Lebron James but the remaining three quarters belongs to the Spurs.
It was Kawhi Leonard the 2014 NBA Final MVP who shoots a breakaway three point that changed the lead. The main difference of the game is the bench contributions. Patty Mills and Manu Ginobili unleashed deadly three pointers that brought the Spurs to what it seems an unreachable lead.
Tim Duncan the future Hall of Famer is the only player in three different decade won an NBA Championship. If this is the last season of Timmy then it’s great to see him walking to the NBA exit door having another Championship trophy.
Meanwhile after James exploded in the first quarter, his production points went down most likely with the defensive effort of Kawhi Leonard. Wade, Allen, Bosh and the Heat bench all struggled finding a way to make points.
It’s clear that in this series, it is the team effort prevails against an individual skills. Again, congratulations to San Antonio Spurs.
