And in the end only one team will be declared as the champion and this year it belongs to the Golden State Warriors. We also would like to congratulate the Cleveland Cavaliers especially to Lebron James for giving us an exciting and dramatic series.
This post is dedicated to the newly crowned team and here are the cards I’ve got from my vault.
Festus Ezeli from 2012-13 Panini Elite
Ezeli provided hustle and energy each time Steve Kerr called him to enter the game. His minutes during game 6 was helpful and one of his highlights was a put-back slam against a Cavs defender.
David Lee from 2010-11 Panini Gold Standard
Not so much used in the NBA Finals series but when he was called by coach Kerr to enter the court in Game 3 he provided a spark and he let everyone remember that he was an All-Star.
Andrew Bogut from 2010-11 Panini Certified
The number 1 pick of 2005 NBA draft somehow struggled to control the boards against Tristan Thompson and Timofey Mozgov. Later he was removed from the Warriors rotation after coach Kerr shuffled his line-up and they go small.
Harrison Barnes from 2012-13 Panini Elite
Barnes is one of the Warriors players who shown confident in this Finals series. He came to the league in 2012 and after 3 years he is now playing in the league’s biggest stage.
Draymond Green from 2012-13 Panini Elite
Green is one of the hidden gems in the 2012 NBA draft along with Festus Ezeli. Provided hustle and energy to the Warriors team and although he is a 6’7, he is seen several times that he outplayed the Cavs bigs.
Andre Iguodala from Panini Limited
A.I., Iggy and now the Beast Stopper. Iguodala was named as the 2015 NBA Finals MVP. He moved from a starter and embraced the role of being the sixth man for his team. After moving from one team to another, Iggy finally reach his career mountain top.
Klay Thompson from 2012-13 Panini Elite
Warriors won’t have “Splash Brothers” without the hot hands of Klay Thompson. Any team should not focus their defense only to Curry as Thompson already shown that he can score big from outside as well as from the inside.
Stephen Curry from 2010-11 Panini Gold Standard
The reigning NBA MVP and one of the deadliest three-point specialist in the history of the NBA. He finally shown to Dellavedova the reason why he is the best player in NBA in Game 5 and Game 6 as he went unstoppable.
