The Golden State Warriors is on a mission, of course winning another championship this year is the main priority but they’re also running to rewrite history.
The Warriors officially joined the NBA’s elite group by winning its 14 straight games to start the season.
They have now included themselves to the 1957-58 Boston Celtics, 1993-94 Houston Rockets and 2002-03 Dallas Mavericks.
“It’s a goal that’s right here and now and it’s something that we want to experience,” Curry said. “It’d be a huge accomplishment because doing something that hasn’t been done in the history of the league is special. You never know if this opportunity will come back again. There are so many variables that go into winning this many in a row, especially the start of the season.”
NBA.com made a fantastic video in black and white comparing the current Warriors ball-club and the Bob Cousy-Bill Russell’s Boston Celtics era.
