For the first time in NBA history, a team wore a special Filipino Heritage shooting shirt. That team is none other than the 2015 NBA Champion, the Golden State Warriors.
It was a special night for every Filipino especially for those who are an avid fan of the NBA. Seeing Stephen Curry and the rest of the Warriors ball club having the Sun of the Philippine flag on their chest is awesome. Not only they make the night great because of those shirts but the game as well when Golden State Warriors faced the Brooklyn Nets.
The defending champion still protecting its zero loss card and wanted to extend the winning streak longer but the Brooklyn Nets gave them tough time to achieve that goal. Warriors played its first overtime game this season, thanks to that late no hesitation 3-pointer shot from the 2015 NBA Finals MVP, Andre Iguodala. The Nets still have the opportunity to win the game but unfortunately, Brook Lopez’s shot bounced back.
Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 34 points (21 points after the halftime) while former Warriors player Jarrett Jack led the Nets with 28 points. With that victory, the Warriors is now on 11 straight wins while the Nets got buried deeper in the standings with 1-9 card.
