Golden State still piling up wins as the Warriors extend their winning streak and NBA record for most win to start a season to 20.
NBA reigning MVP Stephen Curry returned home in Charlotte not only to get another win but also to attend his father’s special night as the Hornets honored Dell Curry as the Charlotte‘s franchise career scoring leader.
Stephen Curry scored a total of 40 points but sat out the rest of the fourth quarter due to a large Warriors lead. Curry caught fire in the third quarter as he scored 28 points in that quarter alone.
Neither Kemba Walker nor Jeremy Lin can’t stop the hot Curry, he converted 10 shots out of his 11 attempts and was 5-of-5 from behind the arc.
“It was a cool atmosphere to play in, especially on top of my dad’s ceremony,” Stephen Curry said. “It was nice to be out there at halftime and hear his speech and stand with my mom, my sister, my aunts and my grandma. It was a good night. I can’t ask for more. To play like I did and get the win was special.”
