Fun facts from the card: In 1982, 61,612 fans filled the New Orleans Superdome in a barnburner of an NCAA championship game between North Carolina and Georgetown. With UNC down by one with 32 seconds left in the 1982 NCAA Tournament final, Dean Smith instructed point guard Jimmy Black to pass it to James Worthy in the middle. Worthy wasn’t open and passed to freshman Jordan, whose left-corner jumpshoot from 16 feet put UNC up for good.
