An unlikely hero saved the Kings from the slumping Cavaliers in an exciting overtime game. Arron Afflalo sunk a clutch 3-pointer with only 17.3 second remaining in the extra period and gave the Kings another road win with the final score 116-112 Wednesday evening.
Down by 5 points in that overtime period, the Kings were resilient and was able to take control behind the strong effort of their big-man Demarcus Cousins. “Boogie” scored 28 points along with 10 rebounds. Darren Collison who played at the point chipped in with 23 points for the Kings.
Right after the three-pointer made by Afflalo, LeBron James attempted to make his own version hoping to tie the game just like what he did against the Spurs few days ago but unable to convert. Cleveland have no other choice in the next position but to make an intentional foul against Cousins who split his free-throws.
LeBron James got another triple-double in a losing effort, he scored 24 points grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out with 11 assists. Kevin Love chipped in with 21 points and 16 rebounds who missed a clutch free-throw in overtime.
