Our today’s featured basketball card is a Lazar Hayward from the 2010-11 Panini Prestige Basketball product.
Basketball Card Information
Card Number: 30
Set Name: Rookie DRAFT NY 10
Fun facts from the card: Some critics claimed that Hayward wasn’t athletic, then he floored people at the NBA Combine with the second-fastest time in the agility drill and a 36-inch vertical leap. Those skills, plus a 7-foot wingspan, allow him to play taller than he is, but the best aspect to his game maybe his high motor.
Estimated Price: $1
Investment Potential:The card value has no room to grow since Lazar Hayward is no longer playing in the NBA. However, set and player autograph collectors may still chase this card but not as an investment but for fun.
Lazar Hayward entered the NBA via the 2010 NBA Draft. The same draft that brought us John Wall, Paul George, DeMarcus Cousins and Gordon Hayward.
He was selected by the Washington Wizards in the first round and he became as the 30th overall pick. Hayward was traded on the same night and was sent to Minnesota to join the Timberwolves.
Hayward played a total 72 official NBA games in the span of three seasons. He averaged 2.9 points and 1.3 rebounds playing with Minnesota and Oklahoma City.
He was an OKC Thunder player when the team reached the 2012 NBA Finals but lost to the Miami Heat,in the Best of Seven series, 4-1.
Although played in a very limited minutes, at least he was able to experience playing in the NBA biggest stage.
