The Washington Wizards were able to defeat the new-look Cleveland Cavaliers in-front of their fans, 110-103.
After their energetic two-game winning streak, the Cavs were put on halt by the visiting Wizards with the absence of their All-Star guard John Wall due to an injury.
The first appearance of Rodney Hood, Jordan Clarkson, George Hill and Larry Nance Jr. in the Cleveland Cavaliers home-court arena were all got spoiled. The Cavs were leading as much as 12-points but Washington rallied back behind Bradley Beal and company.
LeBron James who is still fresh from winning another All-Star MVP under his belt scored 32 points, 9 rebounds and eight assists. James scored 14 straight points late in the fourth quarter and pushed his team 106-103.
However, Bradley Beal put an end to Wizards scoring drought after making a layup to secure another victory. Washington is now at 8-2 win-loss record without their 2010 first overall pick John Wall.
LeBron James also added another accolade to his name as he was named as the 11th player in the league history to reach 11,000 career field goals. Larry Nance Jr. was also permitted to wear his Dad’s jersey number 22 on their next game.
“I’m ecstatic about it,” said the younger Nance.
