LeBron James have ripped the hearts of Toronto Raptors fans after hitting another clutch basket and take a commanding 3-0 series lead.
Raptors coach Dwane Casey is again on the verge of getting eliminated from the playoffs after leading Toronto as the best team in the east this season. His team lost versus the Cavaliers back in the 2016 conference finals and in the 2017 conference semi-finals.
LeBron James hits an off-balanced jumper as time expires in the final quarter. This is the second clutch jumpers that James did this 2018 NBA Playoffs, the other one was against the Indiana Pacers where he converted a three-pointer and gave his Cavs a 3-2 series lead.
LeBron James dropped 38 points, 7 assists and 3 steals as he led his team to a whooping nine straight victories against the Raptors in post-season games.
“It reminds me of back in the days of having to get over the hurdle of (Michael) Jordan,” Casey said before Game 3. “At some point, you’ve got to get over that hurdle, you’ve got to knock it down, you’ve got to knock the wall down.”
“It’s a similar situation we are with Cleveland. I always go back to how many years is this with LeBron going to the (NBA) Finals, eight? So, there’s a lot of other teams that have gone through this gauntlet and we’ve got to go through it and that’s what we’re trying to do and going to do.”
Toronto stormed a comeback after Jeff Green missed his last free-throw. The Raptors took advantage of the small window of opportunity they have as OG Anunoby drilled his three-pointer which ties the game at 103. Then with 10 second remaining in Game 3, the ball was with LeBron’s hand and was defended by Anunoby, James decided to drive hard to the basket and made an off-balanced jumper. The ball hit the back board and went straight to the bottom of the net.
