The most awaited 2018-19 NBA season is finally here. For its first game, it was the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers.
Gordon Hayward who only played few minutes last year in an NBA opener due to an injury was able to complete his first Celtics game and logged 10 points.
Hayward’s jump shot are now looking good but his explosion as he drove to the basket isn’t there yet.
Kyrie Irving who was sidelined prior to Boston’s playoffs campaign performed as a facilitator. Irving dished out seven assists along with his seven points.
Celtics last year’s prized rookie Jayson Tatum led his team in scoring with 23 points while Marcus Morris added 16 points.
The reigning Rookie of the Year Ben Simmons had a spectacular 2018-19 NBA season debut with his 19 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists while Joel Embiid added 23 points and 10 rebounds.
After LeBron James left the Eastern Conference, the Celtics and the Sixers are among the many teams expected to reach the Conference Finals.
