Joe Ingles showcased his long range talent against the the Golden State Warriors when the defending champs visited the Utah Jazz.
During the pre-season, Joe Ingles declared the he is the best shooter in the league.
“After the first few (shots) didn’t go in, was it hard to maintain that confidence to keep shooting?” a local reporter asked.
“No. I’m the best shooter in the league,” the newly turned 31-year-old Ingles shot back. “That’s a silly question.”
Indeed Ingles has the tools to become the best shooter in the league after he exploded with 27 points. 21 of those points came from the three-point land.
Prior to the game, Stephen Curry also made comment on Ingles’ best-shooter statement.
“That just means in Las Vegas in the Summer League in 2009, we had two of the best shooters of all time on the same time,” Curry joked. “We got a lot in common.”
“He’s proven that he’s a versatile player that can do a lot of different things on the floor. … Perseverance like that, it speaks a lot about a guy’s character and work ethic.” Curry added.
