Celtics head coach Brad Stevens used Aaron Baynes as Hayward’s replacement in his first-five unit along with Kyrie Irving, Jayson Tatum, Al Horford and Jaylen Brown.
For Hayward, he said the move don’t matter to him as his focus is more on winning games.
“For me, I’m happy to be on the court, No. 1 more than anything and, No. 2, whatever I can do to help us win,” Hayward said . “I said it before the season, it’s whatever to me,” he added.
Still, Hayward finished the game against the Hornets logging 31 minutes and finished with 4 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in another Boston loss.
