Oklahoma City Thunder all-star Paul George made a late game heroics to lead his team escape the Philadelphia 76ers, 117-115.
George swished his three-pointer with only 6.9 second remaining. He was fouled by Jimmy Butler in the process which leads to his four-point play as he took care of his extra freebie.
Prior that George’s shot, the Sixers made a run to take the driver seat. First there’s the three free-throws of Joel Embiid who calmly converted all of his under pressure free shots, 113-113.
Then on the next ball possession, the Sixers executes their full-court press where OKC committed a turnover as Butler made an easy lay-up, 115-113.
Thunder called a time-out and designed a play for Paul George which gave them the victory.
Sixers actually had a last chance to steal the game but the three-pointer of Butler was well defended.
George scored 31 points along with his six rebounds and five assists while Russell Westbrook and Dennis Schroder added 21 points apiece.
Joel Embiid led his team in scoring with 31 points. Ben Simmons teased a triple-double performance by logging 20 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists.
