Gordon Hayward Leads Celtics To Give Warriors Its Worst Defeat In The Steve Kerr Era

Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward paced the his team to victory against the Golden State Warriors, 128-95.

Hayward logged 30 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the victory after averaging just a mere 5.2 points in Boston’s last five outings.

From the get-go it was all Boston Celtics where they lead more than 30 points. The home-team made shown some life at start of the third quarter but the Celtics re-deployed their best player for the evening to reclaim the momentum.

In the final quarter, Golden State head coach Steve Kerr opted to keep Kevin Durant, Draymond Green and Stephen Curry in the bench as the game slowly getting out of their hands.

With his scoring output tonight, Hayward joins Kevin McHale and Ricky Davis as a Celtics player who scored 30+ points in a season who is coming from the bench.

Last January 27 of this year, one of unnamed Warriors player made a comment on Hayward’s playing performance.


Well, it seems Gordon remembers that and he answered back with stellar game.
