Former San Antonio Spurs center Pau Gasol will join forces with Giannis Antetokounmpo in the Milwaukee Bucks squad.
Gasol has agreed on a contract buyout with the Spurs which makes him an outright free-agent.
Currently the Spanish big-man is averaging 4.2 points, 4.7 rebounds but the Bucks is most likely looking into intangibles and that’s his championship experience.
The 7-footer helped the Los Angeles Lakers back to the NBA Finals along with Kobe Bryant three times where they won two Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.
With LeBron James is now gone in the Eastern Conference, the slot going for this year’s championship round is very much wide open.
That might be the main reason why they brought the experience and the intelligence of Gasol in Milwaukee.
In his entire career in the NBA, Gasol averaged 17.1 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.59 blocks.
He is one of the four players in the league who at least scored 20,000 points, 11,000 rebounds, 3,500 assists and 1,500 swats.
Gasol gives Milwaukee something it's missing on the roster: Championship experience. There are few better teammates and mentors in the NBA. https://t.co/xs4NvB5SqH

The other three players who achieved that feat are Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett.
