Johnson shocked the media who are present to cover the Lakers vs the Portland Trail Blazers match.
According to the three-time MVP his joy is on the other side and that’s being a mentor to other players.
“I have more fun when I was able to be the big brother and an ambassador to everybody,” said Magic.
He also cited some of the important moments like the Miami Heat’s guard Dwyane Wade retirement. Due to his hectic schedule in Lakers front office he can’t even sent his message on social media.
“You know I thought about Dwyane Wade retiring tomorrow night and I can’t even tweeted out I can’t be there,” Johnson added.
According to ESPN’s NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the five-time champ is never fully committed to his job.
Since taking over as president of the Lakers, Magic Johnson never fully committed to the job. Often he was traveling and away from the team. His office hours were limited. He didn't do a lot of scouting. Running an NBA team takes a tremendous commitment of time and energy.

Probably the best accomplishment of Magic as the president of the team that wears purple and gold was adding LeBron James to their roster.
The Lakers is currently at the tenth spot of the Western Conference standings and already out in the playoffs.
