The Team USA is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Team Poland at 4:00 P.M. on September 14, 2019 live from the Wukesong Arena, Beijing, China.
Both the Americans and the Polish squad will try to make a graceful exit from the 2019 FIBA World Cup as today’s match will give the winner as the number 7 best basketball club in the tournament.
The path of team USA and team Serbia crossed once again in FIBA World Cup but that time around, they didn’t fight for a gold medal or any medals but in a classification round (5-8).
The Serbians edged the Americans and sent them to a much lower classification round (7-8).
In their basketball showdown, last September 12, team Serbia wasted no time and made a commanding 32-7 lead at the end of the first quarter. Though team USA able to recover but they lost steam after they played catch-up the rest of the quarters.
Harrison Barnes led the American squad with his 22 points, five rebounds, and four assists while Kemba Walker added 18 points along with his 8 dimes.
For team Poland on the other hand, they lost by 10 points against team Czech Republic in their classification round (5-8).
The first three-quarters of that match was like a tug-of-war but in the fourth quarter, the Czechs offensive prowess which made them one of the surprising teams this year was in full display. In the final period, they outscored the Polish squad, 21-30.
Adam Waczynski was the leading scorer for team Poland where he delivered 22 points together with his four rebounds and four assists.
