Houston Rockets superstar guard James Harden made another career milestone as he reached the 20,000 points in the NBA.
Harden is the 45th player to make it to the 20K club and the seventh-youngest to achieve it.
His longtime friend and now teammate again Russell Westbrook is happy how Harden reached to another level.
“To be able to do that on a very, very high level is something we don’t take for granted,” Westbrook said. “Growing up in L.A. and being able to see him progress over the years to me is just a blessing to see as his friend and I’m truly happy for him.”
Yet for the man who is also known as the “Beard”, he is still targeting a much greater goal but also pleased with his new accolade.
“It’s a great accomplishment obviously,” he said. “I have a bigger picture and bigger goals but it’s pretty cool.”
The Rockets made sure that they won’t spoil the new achievement of their main-man as they have lambasted the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves, 139-109.
Harden led them in scoring with his 32 points and 12 rebounds output while Westbrook had his 30 markers along with 10 dimes.
The Wolves continue to play without their key big-man Karl Anthony Towns who is still nursing an injury since mid-December.
Josh Okogie who came-in from the bench led Minnesota with his 16 points.
