Orlando Magic high-flyer forward Aaron Gordon feels like he doesn’t want to join future NBA slam dunk contests after losing on two controversial decisions.
Gordon is a slam dunk participant three times. In 2016 he lost to Zach Lavine in one of the best slam dunk contests in the history of the league yet many who thought that the trophy should be given to Gordon.
In 2017, he returned to join the contest but failed to advance to the next round. Probably, his missed dunk using a drone in the first round wore him down early as he also missed his second try.
In 2020, he scored 50 in his first five attempts and many thought that it should be over yet there were still dunk-off rounds to determine the winner.
The 2020 NBA Slam Dunk Champion trophy eventually went to Miami Heat’s Derrick Jones Jr.
