Here are the game highlights of the match between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Philadelphia 76ers which was scheduled on February 23, 2020 (PHI time).
Sixers playmaker Ben Simmons exited the game early in the first quarter as he suffered irritation to his lower back. The injury report was confirmed by Philadelphia Inquirer’s Keith Pompey where the irritation occurred at the 4:44 mark of the opening period.
Simmons who was sidelined in their previous game against the Brooklyn Nets where they won in an overtime game as Joel Embiid took center stage as he pushed that match to another five-minute ball-game.
Without Simmons on the lineup, the home team took advantage of the opportunity as Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton played almost unstoppable. The reigning NBA MVP scored 31 points and 17 rebounds while Middleton had 25 markers and nine boards.
“We came out the third quarter and played fast,” Antetokounmpo said. “We were able to rebound the ball and just attack them. Joel had four fouls. That worked in our favor. We tried to be aggressive in the third quarter and set the tone.”
Joel Embiid, Furkan Korkmaz, and Shake Milton each scored 17 points while Tobias Harris had his 11 points and five boards production in a losing effort.
