Here are the game highlights of the match between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors which was scheduled on February 9, 2020 (PHI time).
The Lakers were eyeing to make a bounce-back win prior to the start of the game while the Warriors wanted to avoid back-to-back losses.
The match was also the debut of Andrew Wiggins with Golden State after he got dealt with during the NBA trade deadline.
Wiggins re-introduced himself to the league particularly to Warriors fans by dropping 24 points, a couple of rebounds and three dimes.
Early in the game, Golden State was seen leading. Though they’re currently at the bottom of the Western Conference standings, yet, Steve Kerr and his available wards know how to give a hard time versus the number one team in the West, the LA Lakers.
In the following quarters, team LA took the momentum and piled a lead as high as 21 points.
Yet, the home team didn’t give up and they were able to trim the deficit to single digits as the game approaches its final moments.
Lakers dynamic duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis teamed up in that final minute of the last frame. James three-pointer at 16.9 mark in the fourth was the dagger.
Davis led the Lakers in scoring with his 27 points and 10 rebounds while James added 22 points, eight rebounds, and 11 dimes.
