Adam Silver just announced that the best individual award after the conclusion of the NBA All-Star game will now be called as the Kobe Bryant MVP Award.

The 2020 All-Star festivity is full of “Black Mamba’s” tribute for his great contribution to the league and to basketball in general.

The NBA commissioner added one more salute to Kobe by engraving his name to the trophy of the NBA All-Star MVP trophy.

“There is one additional special honor for Kobe,” said Silver.

“We’re now renaming our All-Star MVP trophy to Kobe Bryant MVP award. This trophy will be presented at the conclusion of tomorrow’s night All-Star game and I know it will be especially meaningful to that player that wins the first Kobe Bryant MVP,” he added.

During his days in the NBA, Bryant was named as an All-Star 18 times and won four NBA All-Star MVPs.

Bryant was also the youngest player in the league to participate in an All-Star game at the age of 19-years-old in 1998
