Houston Rockets starting center Clint Capela was reported that he is on his team’s trading block.
The Rockets is seeking for a wing and a center players to boost its campaign in the current and future NBA seasons.
According to ESPN’s Senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Houston is engaged in a three-way trade where they can get a draft asset and an impact wing player.
One of the Eastern Conference teams interested in the deal being brought to the table by the Rockets is the Atlanta Hawks. Likewise, the squad being anchored by Trae Young is also interested in Oklahoma City Thunder’s Steven Adams. Earlier, Atlanta also had talks with the possible trade of Detroit Pistons Andre Drummond yet that trade scenario has lost momentum in recent weeks.
Capela’s trade value is attractive for teams that are seeking a starting center caliber type of player.
He is 25-year-old and his current contract is manageable considering that he is a double-double machine. In this ongoing 2019-20 NBA season, Capela is averaging 13.9 points and 13.8 rebounds. The only downside is that he is nursing a heel injury where he now missed three-straight games.
