NBA Highlights: No Zach Lavine, No Problem As Bulls Upset Mavericks

Here are the game highlights of the match between the Chicago Bulls and the Dallas Mavericks which was scheduled on March 3, 2020 (PHI time).

Current Bulls scoring leader Zach Lavine is out due to an injury while forward Lauri Markkanen is also not with the team because of an injury but already joined G-League Windy City Bulls for conditioning.

Yet, despite missing some of their scoring weapons, Chicago was able to make an upset versus the visiting Mavericks.

Bulls head coach found his scoring machines in their rookie Coby White and Otto Porter Jr., who delivered 19 and 18 points respectively.

“We’re not thinking about that,” Porter said. “We’re just trying to get guys back and (pick up) the Ws right now. When it gets down to we’re gonna need a couple games, then we’ll get into a playoff mode where everything is very detailed.”

Tim Hardaway Jr., paced Dallas with his 26 points output while Luka Doncic got 23 points and nine assists.

“The third quarter was obviously our downfall,” coach Rick Carlisle said. “They came out of the locker room with great intensity, and we didn’t respond. We did a few things to make runs at them. I loved the way we finished the game in terms of being scrappy, and finding ways to make things happen with steals and putting points on the board. Luka’s shot, I was standing right behind it, it was right on the line.”
