With that development, the NBA suspends its remaining games until further notice. Earlier, the league was planning to continue its games without fans inside the arenas, yet, this time around, there’ll no games at all.
According to Yahoo Sports, the league shutdown will last a minimum of two weeks but the timeframe is flexible.
“The NBA is suspending game play following the conclusion of tonight’s schedule of games until further notice,” the league said in a statement sent shortly after 9:30 p.m. EDT. “The NBA will use this hiatus to determine next steps for moving forward in regard to the coronavirus pandemic.”
