NBA Highlights: Trail Blazers vs Mavericks | August 12, 2020

Here are the highlights of the match between the Trail Blazers and Dallas Mavericks which was scheduled on August 12, 2020 (Local Time).


The Portland Trail Blazers are still fighting for that 8th spot in the Western Conference as they battle against the Dallas Mavericks.

At the start of the first quarter, Jusuf Nurkic and Kristaps Porzingis are the ones who tipped the ball and it goes to CJ McCollum’s possession. Damian Lillard hits a pullup jumper for their first points in the game.

At the end of the first quarter, the Trail Blazers are in favor as they have an eight-point advantage. After the first quarter, Luka and his team just can’t get the lead as they still trail by six points at 66-58.

The former-knick, Carmelo Anthony stepped up in the third quarter as he hits two three-point shots and scored 12 points. It was just chaos throughout the fourth quarter as both teams are fighting for the lead. Luka gives his team the lead as he hits a two-point jumper.

Damian Lillard went on fire in the fourth quarter as he drained three-point shots after three-point shots as he and his team are fighting for that 8th seed in the Western Conference so that they can go to the playoffs.

Anthony hits a very tough three-point shot in the face of a maverick to tie the game at 127 after a made three by Maxi Kleber at the other end. Kleber tried to hit another three, but he misses. But, Doncic got the offensive rebound. Because of that Kristaps Porzingis was able to give the team the lead by hitting a three-point jumper off of an assist of Tim Hardaway Jr.

At the other end of the floor, as the time is about to expire, Lillard forces a very deep and very contested three-point shot and it bounces on the rim and went high up in the air and still went to the bottom of the net to tie the game.

After that, Kristapz Porzingis turned over the ball.

Hassan Whiteside gave the Trail Blazers the lead as he performed a thunderous dunk from an assist of Damian Lillard. Luka Doncic then finds a way to make Whiteside foul him so that he can tie the game at the free-throw line. The first free throw was a miss. But he hits the second one.

Luka Doncic ends the game with a near triple-double performance. He scored 25 points, dished 10 assists and grabbed 8 rebounds. With him is the player from Latvia, Kristaps Porzingis who scored 36 big points and went 7 of 9 from three-point country. Tim Hardaway Jr. also contributed as he scored 25 points.

At the end of the floor, “Dame” went on fire as he scored 61 huge points and went 9 of 17 from three-point range. Also, he went perfect from the free-throw line as he hitted all of his 18 attempts. Not only that, he also dished out 8 assists.

Carmelo Anthony continues to step up when he is needed. the 36-year old marked 26 points and went 10 of 17 throughout the game, some of those came from the block.

The Trail Blazers defeated the Mavericks with the score of 131-134.
