Here are the highlights of the Game 5 Western Conference Finals match between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets which was scheduled on September 27, 2020 (Local Time).


The Lebron-leaded-Lakers will advance into the NBA Finals, defeating the Denver Nuggets in Game 5.

Lebron James smelled blood in the fourth quarter as he scored 16 points in that quarter alone. He just put up shots in the fourth, further widening the lead and securing up the spot in the NBA Finals. He finished the game with his 27th triple-double performance in the playoffs, he scored 38 big points, grabbing 16 boards and diming 10 assists.

“My teammates said bring us home and it was my responsibility to try to make the right plays and do the right things on the floor to help us win ballgames,” James shared during the trophy presentation.

His dynamic duo, Anthony Davis, added 27 big points while also being active on the defensive side, stealing 2 possessions from the Nuggets and blocking a shot.

Jamal Murray was just not right in tonight’s game because of his ankle or foot injury that was holding back from being explosive. He nearly finished the game with a double-double performance as he scored 19 points and dishing out 8 assists.

Jerami Grant and Nikola Jokic ended the game with 40 combined points, 20 points on each of them. Michael Malone limited the minutes of Jokic due to his 5 personal fouls. While Jokic played limited minutes, Grant played for 46 minutes in action for the Nuggets, he is also 1 rebound away from performing a double-double.

The Los Angeles Lakers will advance to the NBA Finals, meeting either their rivalry, the Boston Celtics or the former-team of Lebron James, the Miami Heat.
