Here are the highlights of the Game 2 NBA of the NBA Finals match between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat which was scheduled on October 3, 2020 (Local Time).


The Los Angeles Lakers defeats the Heat again in Game 2 by the brilliancy of the dynamic duo, LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Anthony Davis, the Lakers’ dominant center, finished the game with a big double-double performance, he scored 32 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. He also went efficient in his shooting as he hit 15 out of his 20 attempts, most of them coming from low post moves. The Heat just have no answer in the third quarter when Davis just erupted on them, he just went to the paint and dominated there, further widening up the lead.

“The King” also played big time in this game as he nearly ended Game 2 with a triple-double. He scored 33 points, grabbing 9 rebounds and dimed 9 assists. In addition to his game, he also hit 3 three-point makes. Since because they could not get more stops in the third quarter, the Heat could only cut the deficit to 10 points from 14 points despite scoring 39 points against the Lakers and the domination of Davis in the paint.

“It’s a great team that we’re playing, and we understand that,” James shared.

The veteran point guard of the Los Angeles Lakers, Rajon Rondo, played huge in this game. He finished the game with a double-double, he scored 16 points, most of which came from the second quarter, and dishing out 10 assists.

Despite just hitting 2 out of his 11 attempts from downtown, Caldwell-Pope still scored 11 points and hit a dagger, three-point shot to seal the game late in the fourth quarter. Kyle Kuzma also scored 11 points coming from the bench.

Meanwhile, the short-handed Miami Heat are just struggling without their key players, namely, Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo who are still questionable if both of them or one of them are going to play in Game 3.

Jimmy Butler was just an all-around player for the Miami Heat. He was the facilitator, at the same time, a scorer. He scored 25 points and dishing out 14 assists. He also could have finished the game with a triple-double as he was just 2 rebounds shy.

Kelly Olynyk, who came out from the bench and played 37 minutes in this game played very well as he scored 24 points and grabbing 9 rebounds. Also, he hit 3 three-point shots.

The youngest player to ever start in an NBA Finals game, Tyler Herro scored 17 points and grabbed 7 boards.

The series between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat will resume on Monday at 7:30 AM for Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
