PBA: Alaska Aces’ Vic Manuel Traded To Phoenix Fuel Masters

Vic Manuel’s request to have a new home was fulfilled at the start of PBA Season 46 in April after the Alaska-Phoenix trade was approved.

Manuel’s move from Alaska to Phoenix Fuel Masters got a go signal from the PBA trade committee in place of Brian Heruela, and three draft picks – first round (sixth pick) and second-round (fourth pick) in the upcoming draft and first-round pick in the rookie draft next year.

The Aces’ trade includes giving the Fuel Masters first round (seventh pick), and second-round (seventh pick) picks in the rookie draft.

Manuel’s arrival at the Fuel Masters was slightly delayed, where his best friend Calvin Abueva was also recently traded and is now in the Magnolia Hotshots.

Manuel, however, is happy that he will have a fresh start in Phoenix after its dispute with the Alaska leadership over the contract.

It will be recalled that the Aces offered a two-year maximum deal with a team option in the second year, but Manuel did not like it.

Manuel reportedly signed a deal with Alaska on Monday night with a trade deal with Phoenix.

Manuel also spent six years in the Aces camp.

Manuel will be joined on the road by Season 45 Best Player of the Conference candidates Matthew Wright and Chris Banchero, who replaced Abueva in the blockbuster trade.
