PBA board of governors approved the inaugural season of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) 3×3 tournament.
The league will just wait for the Inter-Agency Task Force’s go-signal to finally start the first season of the 3×3 tournament.
PBA 3×3 tournament chairman Dickie Bachmann targets to have 18 teams in the first season of the league.
Aside from the 12 teams, six more teams will be added, but Bachmann did not name them first.
Three conferences in a season will be held where each conference will present five legs, including the Grand Finals.
There are also prizes reserved for the winning teams, but it was not announced how much the cash prize would be.
The group is also ready for what bubble setup to use.
The PBA has two options – the bubble or the non-bubble.
There will also be a limit of players per team based on the bubble approved by the IATF.
If the tournament is held in the bubble, only five players can enter the lineup.
But if it is non-bubble, six players can be added to the list.
