Here are the scores, updates, and results of the NBA 2020-2021 regular season match between the Los Angeles Lakers (LAL) and the Toronto Raptors (TOR) on April 7, 2021 (All times are in Philippine Standard Time) at the Amalie Arena.

The Los Angeles Lakers came out of the Amalie Arena with a victorious smile on their faces. The squad had hot, flaming hands, dropping 18 three-point shots throughout the game. In their first 8 attempts, they only missed 1 shot.

“We had high-quality shots, didn’t settle for mid-range, and as a result we hit a high percentage (45%),” Vogel shared.

Within the first 20 minutes of action, the Lakers see themselves having a big 34-point lead against the opposing team.

Talen Horton-Tucker, the agile guard of the Lakers, tallied 17 points and dished out 6 assists in 26 minutes of action from the bench. Morris added 15 points and nearly ended the game with a double-double as he grabbed 9 rebounds. Gasol and Caldwell-Pope ended with 26 combined points, 13 for each of them.

“Some days you make shots, some days you don’t. You always have to keep that in perspective,” said Alex Caruso “I think we were just playing through whatever they gave us defensively.”

Pascal Siakam had an excellent game, but it was not enough to beat the flaming hot Lakers. Siakam tallied 27 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and a block in 41 minutes.

Chris Boucher chipped in 19 points with 8 rebounds. Bembry added 19 points while Trent Jr. and Flynn both had 11 points.

“I think we were up against a super-motivated team, to play better than they’ve been playing,” Head coach of the Raptors said. “And they saw we were coming off an emotional game last night. It’s going to happen sometimes when a team makes a ton of 3s, and you don’t.”

The Los Angeles Lakers rise up to 32-19 while the Toronto Raptors drop to 20-31.
