The Brooklyn Nets improve to the second seed of the eastern conference as they defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers with a final score of 123-109.

Durant led the Nets by finishing the game with an outstanding performance as he nearly had a triple-double, tallying 23 points, 13 assists, and eight rebounds. Not only that, but “Durantula” also went super-efficient on his shots, shooting 8-10 from the field.

In addition, Durant was included in a highlight play where most people consider it as the play of the year. It all started late in the second quarter when Blake Griffin dimed a flashy pass to start a fast break as Kyrie Irving then touch passed it to James. After that, James then bounced it on the board to execute an alley-oop play for a dunk from “KD” to finish a phenomenal sequence.

“Whatever we did so far is out the window,” Durant shared. “It’s a new season for us and I think that’s the mentality we all want to have. We did some solid things throughout the regular season but we just want to continue to keep getting better but realize that the regular season is over, it’s a new vibe for us.”

The guards of the Nets, Kyrie Irving and Mike James both had an excellent matchup. Irving finished with 17 points and 6 rebounds while James had 14 points and 8 dishes for the squad.

Meanwhile, Dean Wade and Isaac Okoro both had remarkable outputs for the Cavaliers, but it was not enough to beat the opposing team.

Wade and Okoro tallied 36 combined points, 18 for each of them. Dotson added 17 points while Sexton had 16.

The Brooklyn Nets rise up to 48-24 while the Cavaliers fall down to 22-50.
