NBA: Zach Randolph and Tony Allen’s Jerseys Are Going To Be Retired By The Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies have announced that they are going to retire Randolph’s and Allen’s jerseys this upcoming season as both players are going to retire.

On December 11 against the Houston Rockets, the Grizzlies will retire Randolph’s No. 50 jersey and on January 28 against the Utah Jazz, they will retire Allen’s No. 9 jersey.

Allen responded emotionally when Chris Vernon announced that the team is going to retire his jersey together with Mike Conley Jr. of the Jazz, the former Grizzly

“It’s a dream come true,” he said. “The whole build up, bringing my swagger here, the demeanor, the poise in just working every day, the grit and grind culture here … It’s a complete honor and I’m thankful, real thankful.”

Both of these players have been the heart of the Memphis Grizzlies throughout the years. Fans were always cheering for these two. Now that they are going to say “goodbye”, the FedExForum will never be the same.
