Here are the scores, updates, and results of the NBA 2021-2022 Regular Season between the Brooklyn Nets (BKN) vs the Los Angeles Lakers (LAL) on January 26, 2022 (All times are in Philippine Standard Time) at the Barclays Center.

The Los Angeles Lakers pulls away with a victory against the short-handed Brooklyn Nets in the Barclays Center with a final score of 106-96.

Anthony Davis makes his return after missing many matchups with the Lakers due to an injury on his knee. But, Davis’ knee looked fine when he jumped to catch a lob from James for a thunderous one-handed slam dunk in the first possession of the contest. “The Brow then knocked down a mid-range J to keep his momentum going. At the end of the game, Davis had eight points and four blocks in 25 minutes of action.

“Obviously right away you see what he’s capable of,” James shared. “We draw a play right to start the game, I was able to turn the corner and threw a late lob that he was still able to throw home. So very exciting to have him back.”

LeBron James on the other hand, adds another 30-point game into his stat line, scoring 33 points on 14-21 from the field while grabbing seven boards and dishing out six assists. “The King also made two outstanding defensive plays in the fourth quarter as he intercepted the pass from Harden and performed one of his classic and powerful tomahawk jams on the other end of the court. On the next possession of the Nets, James grabs another steal, sprints towards the rim, and ends the fastbreak with an emphatic two-handed flush, extending up the lead to 15 points with six minutes remaining.

Monk, who came off from the bench, always steps up when their opponents are difficult to overcome. Monk added 22 points while shooting 6-12 from outside of the arc. Meanwhile, Anthony added 13 while Westbrook had 15.

James Harden finished the game with an impressive triple-double performance, scoring 33 points, collecting 12 rebounds, and dimed 11 assists as he stood up again for his team following up their game back on Christmas Day where they won against the Lakers. Durant was not able to play in this contest due to a sprained left knee ligament. Irving also was not able to play because he is still unvaccinated.

Harden was then asked about a Bleacher Report story regarding reasons that he is frustrated with his current team.

“Listen, I don’t know about any reports,” Harden shared. “Of course, I’m frustrated because we’re not healthy, there’s a lot of inconsistency for whatever reason. Injuries, COVID, whatever you want to call it, so yeah, it is frustrating. I think everyone in this organization is frustrated because we are better than our record is and we should be on the way up. So that’s all it is.”
