Here are the scores, updates, and results of the NBA 2021-2022 Regular Season between the Washington Wizards (WAS) vs the Los Angeles Clippers (LAC) on January 26, 2022 (All times are in Philippine Standard Time) at the Capital One Center.

The Washington Wizards collapses in the second half and the Los Angeles Clippers took advantage of this and stole the game.

The Clippers looked terrible in the first half as the home team blasted them with a 35-point lead. However, because of the resiliency of the Clippers, they never looked down and gave up but scored 80 huge points in the second half, 40 in each quarter to deliver a huge comeback win against the Wizards.

With ten seconds left remaining on the game clock, the Clippers find themselves down by six points at 109-115. While inbounding, Winslow finds Kennard near the half-court line. Kennard never even came near the rim and raised up for a deep three-pointer and sank it down, narrowing up the lead to only three points.

In the next play, when Kuzma was inbounding the ball, he was not able to find a clean pass because of the Clippers’ strong defense. As a result, he cost a huge possession and turned the ball over due to a five-second violation. On the other end, Kennard stood up again and sank down a four-point play, tying up the game, and gains a chance to give his team a one-point lead. He then calmly swished the charity stripe shot and got his team the advantage. With little to no time remaining, Kuzma turned over the ball again, ending the contest.

The Clippers tied the second-biggest comeback in the NBA since the ’96-’97 season.

Coffey led the team with 29 points while shooting 10-21 from the field while Kennard had 25 points, eight rebounds, and six assists while shooting 8-13 from the field, eight of them came from outside of the three-point arc where he sank down five of them. Mann and Hartenstein each had 16 points, combining 32 points in total to help the team rally in the second half.

Kuzma finished the game with another double-double as he scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Beal contributed 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists in their efforts of stopping the surge of the Clippers. Harrell added 12 while Avdija and Bryant both ended with 11 as they came from the bench.
