Here are the scores, updates, and results of the NBA 2021-2022 Regular Season between the Boston Celtics (BOS) and the Miami Heat (MIA) on May 24, 2022 (All times are in Philippine Standard Time) at the TD Garden.
The Boston Celtics tie the series after blowing out the visiting Miami Heat at the TD Garden with a final score of 102-82.
Jayson Tatum had an impressive performance for his team, scoring 31 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and having five dishes. Although he was shooting poorly from beyond the three-point arc where he only managed to convert one of his seven looks, Tatum shot 14-16 from the charity stripe shot.
Boston started out strong in the first minutes of the game and clamped down Miami as they ended with 29 points in the first quarter while limiting the Heat to only 11 points. This momentum carried on for the rest of the matchup.
Horford only finished with five points but was contributing greatly to the team in other ways. The big man racked up four blocks, and 13 rebounds, and was a defensive beast in the paint all throughout the contest. Pritchard added 14 points in the win while White, who was having trouble with his shots, had 13 points. Brown and Williams III both had 12 points for the game.
Whenever Miami is trying to spark a run to reduce the huge lead of the opposing team, the Celtics always had an answer against them.
Meanwhile, the starters for the Heat had a night to not remember. None of them scored ten points or more and shot terribly. The highest scorer from the starting cast was Adebayo who only scored nine points. The five of them shot 7-36 in the contest.
Victor Oladipo stepped up for the squad and had 23 points while Robinson had chipped in 14 points. Despite the efforts, they still fell to the Celtics.
