The Bossing team had a big performance against the top seed San Miguel Beermen. Even though they were down by 21 points at one point in the contest, they still managed to reach overtime at the end of regulation.

It was a tightly contested battle in the first half, but the powerhouse then had 35 points in the third period against Blackwater’s 21 points. In the fourth quarter, the Bossing made up for their poor performance in the third and had a 32-point quarter against the Beermen’s 15 points. However, they were not able to outscore San Miguel in overtime and ended up with a three-point losing difference as the last buzzer sounded off.

Ato Ular, who was spectacular in their matchup against Phoenix prior to their game with San Miguel, tallied only eight points and went 4-11 on his shots.

As for Rain or Shine, they finally ended their long-losing slump when they won against the NLEX Road Warriors in their recent clash. The Gavina-mentored group had a strong start in the first period, registering 28 points and limiting the opposing squad to only score 15 points. They maintained this momentum all throughout the matchup and even had a 21-point winning margin against NLEX, resulting in a victory.
