The Converge FiberXers are scheduled for a head-to-head game against the NorthPort Batang Pier at 7:15 PM on July 9, 2022, live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila.
The Converge FiberXers and the NorthPort Batang Pier are going to collide against each other this upcoming night. Converge is slightly better than NorthPort in the standings category as they have three wins and five losses while Batang Pier has two wins and five losses.
The FiberXers had a big win against the NLEX Road Warriors in their previous game. Even though they were attacked by a scoring barrage in the second half, Converge still had an answer in their every move and maintained their winning difference against the Road Warriors.
Murrell had an outstanding performance for Converge, tallying 21 points while hitting ten of his 14 tries from the field as he came as a second unit.
Most of Converge’s points came from the bench and were mostly produced by Murrell, Hill, Browne, and others. Hill had 18 points, seven rebounds, and three assists while Browne had 15 points. Arana, who also came from the secondary cast, had eleven points against NLEX.
Meanwhile, the Batang Pier is looking to bounce back after their defeat in their contest against the San Miguel Beermen. They got dwarfed in the fourth period where they faced a 40-point quarter by the powerhouse against their 24 points.
NorthPort’s Santos finally reached the 10k mark in terms of scoring points in the PBA against San Miguel. Overall, “The Spiderman” had 25 points, seven rebounds, three dishes, two steals, and five blocks against his former team while playing for nearly 38 minutes for the Batang Pier.
With Bolick’s absence due to an injury, Sumang filled the sensational guard’s shoes in their matchup against the Beermen and did not disappoint. “Super Sumang” registered 20 big points and six assists on 8-11 shooting for NorthPort. Calma added 14 points while Malanza had 12 points.
