Ginebra got outscored by Meralco in the first three periods but made up for it in the fourth quarter where they scored 20 points and held the Bolts to only tally 13 points on their end, but it was already too late.

Aaron Black led Meralco with 25 points, and four assists on 10-16 shooting while Ginebra’s Scottie Thompson carried the team all throughout the game, recording 29 big points, ten boards, three dishes, and three steals in the losing cause for the squad.

All in all, Meralco shot 48% from the field while Ginebra converted 42% of their looks.

LA Tenorio was inactive in all of his 32 minutes played for Ginebra, hitting none of his five shots and never scored against Meralco. Despite this, the veteran guard still managed to pull off four assists, four boards, and a block to still aid the group even though he is scoreless.

Tim Cone has recently stated that he is still figuring out why he and the Ginebra team is losing against the Bolts within the current conference, considering that they have lost all of their previous two matchups against each other.

“Obviously they’re doing something that is causing us some problem so we have to try and figure that out,” Cone said.

Meanwhile, Trillo and the rest of the Bolts are currently plotting their execution to eliminate Ginebra from the post-elims in San Juan at the Filoil EcoOil Centre.

“See what other things we can do,” Trillo explained. “Try to get them uncomfortable,” he added.
