The NLEX Road Warriors and the Blackwater Bossing are going to have a head-to-head matchup against each other this afternoon. In the standings list, the Road Warriors are currently having four wins and five losses while Blackwater has five wins and three losses.

NLEX is looking to snap their three-game losing streak as they go up against the well-oiled Blackwater. They lost to Rain or Shine in their past game with a ten-point losing margin.

Within that match, the Road Warriors had a slow start in the first quarter, only scoring 15 points on their end against the Elasto Painters’ 28 points. Their weak performance in the first carried on as the contest progressed and were not able to reduce Rain or Shine’s winning difference amassed by as much as 21 points.

Don Trollano led the Road Warriors with a double-double performance, tallying 20 points, 11 rebounds, a steal, and two blocks on 7-15 shooting against Rain or Shine. QuiƱahan, the veteran forward of the team, chalked up 11 points and six boards.

The second cast of NLEX outscored the non-starters of the opposing team, logging in 53 bench points against the Elasto Painters’ 37 points. However, this effort was not able to deliver the victory for the NLEX squad. Oftana had 17 points and nine boards, Alas racked up 15 points, ten rebounds, and seven assists, while Chua registered 14 points as they come as second units against Rain or Shine.

As for Blackwater, they are also coming off from a beating against Rain or Shine. At one point, the Bossing trailed by as much as 19 points against the Gavina-mentored group.

Even though Blackwater had a small lead by the end of the first half, they got blasted by a 37-point quarter in the third period by the Elasto Painters and were only able to drop 23 points against that scoring barrage. This huge scoring run by Rain or Shine led to Blackwater’s second-consecutive fall.

With 24 minutes of action for the Bossing, Ganuelas-Rosser tallied 19 points on 6-16 shooting. Ular scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds while shooting 5-10 from the field while Amer, who came off from the bench, had 13 points but only knocked down four of his 11 attempts.
