NLEX vs Converge | July 7, 2022 | PBA Live Score And Result

Here are the live scores, updates, and results of the 2022 PBA Philippines Cup between the NLEX Road Warriors vs the Converge FiberXers scheduled on July 7, 2022, at 5:15 PM.

Converge will try to end their two-game losing woes and keep their quarterfinal hopes alive while the Road Warriors will make an attempt to take their fifth victory, the usual number of wins in the PBA that secures a first-round playoff slot.

Apart from securing their distance away from the borders of the soon-to-be eliminated teams, NLEX head coach Yeng Guiao is starting to contemplate how to avoid the top-four teams that carry a twice-to-beat advantage when the road to the PBA Finals starts. Though their today’s opponent is young and full of potential PBA All-Stars in the future, the Road Warriors will try to use their experience.

“We are in survival mode,” was how NLEX coach Yeng Guiao put it. “We need a win to keep a safe distance from elimination and a twice-to-win disadvantage in case we make the quarters,” said Guaio.

In their last outing against the Magnolia Timplados Hotshots, they led the game as much as 15 points mostly in the first half but all of that upside went to ashes as they gave up the third quarter and were unable to recover. That scenario is what NLEX will try to avoid in order for them to make these types of accomplishments before grabbing the ultimate championship hardware in this ongoing no-import conference.

“We are trying to build on maturity ourselves by keeping and protecting our leads when we have them. It’s been frustrating but this is part of the process,” noted Guiao.

For Converge, looks like head coach Jeff Cariaso is in his experimental phase where he is determining the right combination that could bring wins to their ball club. One name which is emerging at least from the past few game log is Allyn Bulanadi. In their previous outing, the number four pick of the 2019 PBA Special Draft delivered 16 points against the fan-favorite, the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. His scoring damage is again expected today for them to mount an upset against the still-dangerous Road Warriors.
