TNT Tropang Giga guard Jayson Castro Williams did it again and this time on the biggest stage of the Philippine Basketball Association as he lifted his squad 1-0 in the best-of-seven series against the San Miguel Beermen.
With merely a second remaining in the fourth quarter, TNT looked for their veteran to close the game against the mighty Beermen. The “Blur” didn’t disappoint coach Chot Reyes and their hundred of fans present at the Big Dome and also in front of the former NBA Sixth Man of the Year, Jordan Clarkson.
The last time Castro had the same feat was against the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots during their semi-finals round where he gave his squad a series lead of 2-1. The only difference was against Magnolia they’re coming from behind and tonight against San Miguel they were defending a comeback from their opponent and avoiding another quarter where the momentum was slowly swinging to the SMB side.
TNT was successful and for sure they’ll carry this victory going to Game 2 which is scheduled this coming Wednesday.
