Here are the live scores, updates, and results of the 2022 PBA Philippine Cup Semi-Finals Game 6 between the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots and the Talk ‘N Text TNT Tropang Giga scheduled on August 14, 2022, at 6:30 PM.

The Hotshots will try again to avoid getting eliminated in this ongoing semi-finals round while the KaTropa will try to forget the previous match and make this day their day where they march to the championship round after the final buzzer of Game 6.

Down but not out, that might be the mantra of the Hotshots as they try to live for another day in this PBA main game at the Big Dome. As usual, head coach Chito Victolero and the entire Magnolia squad demonstrated their trademark defense which clamped down the offensive weapons of their opponents.

Though defense is the mentality of the Chicken Timplados in this entire series, the main difference in Game 4 was that only Paul Lee and Calvin Abueva who are in foul trouble and one more away from the borderline before they were completely removed from the game.

“We limited the fouls and we played physical, and we still played within our game. Credit to all the players,” said Victolero.

Hotshots’ crafty guard Mark Barroca paved the way for Magnolia in the early part of Game 4 where he made most of his scoring contribution. He finished the game with 25 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Barroca was also instrumental in stopping TNT from making a comeback in the fourth quarter and safeguarding the momentum on their side.

“Talagang trinabaho namin ito from our preparations yesterday until today,” added Victolero. “We lived another day so wala kaming dapat i-celebrate because down pa rin kami sa series.”

For TNT on the other hand, Mikey Williams continues to struggle on his offense, and in their previous game, other KaTropa players who usually take care of the scoring slack were also unable to find their groove.

RR Pogoy, Jayson Castro, and Troy Rosario made a combined 21 points and it wasn’t enough to end the series for them to move to the next round of the tournament.

As what head coach Chot Reyes said earlier, closing out is one of the difficult things they’ll do.
