Here are the live scores, updates, and results of the 2022 PBA Philippine Cup Semifinals between the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots and the TNT Tropang Giga scheduled on August 5, 2022, at 6:00 PM.
The TNT Tropang Giga are aiming to append another win into their 1-0 lead against the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots, who are currently looking to tie the series as both teams will clash against each other this upcoming evening for the second contest of their best-of-series in the semifinals.

TNT draw first blood in their first game against Magnolia, taking a 1-0 lead in the series. Just like the San Miguel Beermen, the Tropang Giga also dominated the opposing team while having a 20 or more winning difference.
Magnolia failed to contain Mikey Williams, who had a 26-point output against them, in Game one even though they had a defensive strategy on the Tropa guard.
“Titingnan namin kung ano ‘yung magiging resulta ng una naming magiging defensive scheme sa kanya,” Victolero said.
“It’s a long series naman pero of course important pa rin Game One,” he added. “We’ll try to see first kung ‘yung ginawa naming preparation para sa kanya okay. Kapag hindi back to the drawing board.” he added.
And that is what they should do to limit the fiery shooting of TNT’s young gunner, who went 4-8 from beyond the three-point arc in their first meeting.
Pogoy added 23 points in their win against Magnolia while shooting 7-15 from the field. Khobuntin, who came as a second unit for TNT, had 18 points and seven boards while Castro tallied 12 points on 5-8 shooting against the Hotshots.
The Victolero-mentored squad was no match against the Tropang Giga’s streaky shooting performance. Magnolia shot 36% of their attempts while TNT converted 48% of their looks.
Abueva led the Hotshots with 18 points and eight boards, nearly ending the game with a double-double output as he came from the bench. Jalalon added 14 points and eight dishes, but only sank down five of his 12 tries while Sangalang logged in 14 points and seven boards.
Lee and Barroca, who are known for being scoring threats for the Hotshots, only poured in 16 combined markers in the losing effort against TNT, seven points from Barroca and nine points from “The Leethal Weapon”
