Converge vs Terrafirma | September 23, 2022 | PBA Live Score And Result

Here are the live scores, updates, and results of the 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup between the Converge FiberXers and the Terrafirma Dyip scheduled on September 23, 2022, at 3:00 PM.

The FiberXers wanted a fresh start in this conference and aims to have a better finish while the Dyip wanted to erase another nightmare-ish campaign during the All-Filipino conference.

Converge made its debut last conference after acquiring the team’s franchise rights from the Alaska Aces. The squad’s team owner Dennis Anthony Uy might have noticed something on the roster that he wanted to explore. That something could be the “Youth Movement” of the FiberXers.

“I think our team is young. The question is how to compete with these traditional teams, and I figured kailangan namin fast team,” said Uy.

To complement the young age of the team, Uy made a tough decision during the off-season and that’s by letting go of coach Jeff Cariaso who guided the team to register five victories during the 2022 PBA Philippine Cup. Converge then call-up the services of coach Aldin Ayo who found successful campaigns during his stint with the Letran Knights in the NCAA and with the De La Salle University Green Archers in the UAAP.

“Sabi ko mas maganda yung galing sa collegiate, medyo agresibo mag-train ng mga bata, different and not the traditional way. That’s the strategy that came to mind. We decided to find the suitable coach, at finally nahanap namin si Ayo,” Uy added.

Apart from the coaching staff shuffle, Converge also tweaked its lineup giving way for them to acquire one of coach Ayo’s former collegiate players, Aljun Melecio. To complete the deal with Phoenix LPG Fuelmasters, they sent Ben Adamos and Kurt Lojera. Apart from the former Green Archers standout, the FiberXers also received Kris Porter as part of the package.

For Terrafirman on the other hand, there are no major changes in terms of their roster for this conference except for bringing back their former import Lester Prosper.

The squad hopes that they will have a much more prosperous outcome this second conference and log more wins.
