NLEX vs Blackwater Live Score And Result | 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup

Here are the live scores, updates, and results of the 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup between the NLEX Road Warriors and the Blackwater Bossing scheduled on September 30, 2022, at 3:00 PM.

The Road Warriors will make an attempt to register their two-game winning streak while the Bossing will try to keep their own winning momentum which started last almost a week ago. Yet, only one team will take that elusive “W” after the final buzzer of the opening match at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

After their struggles against the visiting Bay Area Dragons where they got beaten by a surmountable margin, Blackwater quickly made their bounce-back victory versus the Phoenix LPG Fuel Masters.

Their newly acquired personnel like Troy Rosario and Gab Banal from TNT KaTropa ignited the team’s offense where both newly minted Bossing delivered double-digits in scoring.

NLEX Deputy coach Adonis Tierra is aware of the situation that’s why he’s cautious of what damage this new-look Blackwater is able to inflect in his squad.

“Mabigat na kalaban ang Blackwater,” he said. “Siguro, ‘yung unang talo nila parang nagging eake-up call sa kanila kaya maganda inilaro nila last time, against Phoenix.”

For the Road Warriors camp, on the other hand, their post-Yeng-Guiao era was officially started when they faced the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters which happened to be the new home of their former fiery coach. Probably the familiarity with Guiao’s basketball system and the adjustment phase of the RoS was the factors why they were able to snag their first win in this conference.

However, according to Tierra who is receiving instructions from Frankie Lim, the team’s official new head coach, they’re employing different sets of plays both on the offensive and defensive end.

“Gusto niya fast-paced ang opensa, takbuhan ang kalaban kung kaya, if we have the numbers. Otherwise, we have to mix it up dahil may mga halfcourt sets naman kami,” said Tierra. “Sa depensa naman depende sa kalaban kung mag-zo-zone kami or man-to-man. Mabilis namang na-pick up ng players.”

In NLEX’s last game, their import Earl Clark was in a tear where he demolished the Elasto Painters with his 26 points, 14 rebounds, and six swats. The former NBA first-round pick will be battling against the hefty Carl Krutwig who made a much better performance against Phoenix where he tallied 17 points and 16 boards.
