Phoenix vs Blackwater | September 24, 2022 | PBA Live Score And Result

Here are the live scores, updates, and results of the 2022 PBA Commissioner’s Cup between the Phoenix LGP Fuelmasters and the Blackwater Bossing scheduled on September 24, 2022, at 6:45 PM.

Bossing will try to turn its luck in a positive way by activating its newly recruited veteran while the Fuelmasters will try to be more cautious this time around and avoid another tail-end collapse. All of this will be witnessed this evening at SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Newly minted Blackwater player Troy Rosario was in full uniform last Wednesday but just a mere spectator on their team’s sidelines as he watched his new team get swallowed by the visiting yet fiery Bay Area Dragons. The reason why the high-leaper was kept on the bench and unable to log minutes is due to an injury and he is also tending to a personal matter.

However, prior to Bossing today’s match, Rosario was reported as available to play and PBA fans may expect another motivated player after getting traded during the off-season. Arvin Tolentino of the Northport Batang Pier did that as he stuffed the stat sheet and even logged a career-high in the swats department after he got exchanged from the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.

Without a doubt, Rosario will try to duplicate that stellar performance of Tolentino as he himself felt disappointed after his departure from the TNT KaTropa.

“Na-disappoint ako sa sarili ko. Kasi parang ‘yung pagkaka-trade sa’kin, ang dating sa’kin, parang na-fail ko ‘yung sarili ko. Failure para sa’kin,” said by the former National University Bulldogs.

Apart from his basketball talents, Rosario will also try to change the culture of Blackwater and turn them into usual visitors of the PBA Quarterfinals.

“Pero professional ako. Kailangan kong mag-adjust nang mabilis. Wala yun sa culture na laging nasa playoffs yung TNT, tapos yung Blackwater, wala,” he added.

For Phoenix, on the other hand, the Matthew Wright era was officially stamped and the squad is now moving forward. Seems like Javee Mocon took that go-to-guy role as he led the Fuelmasters with his 24 points plus 13 rebounds.

Phoenix was in control for the majority of the quarters when they met the NorthPort Batang Pier, however, they weren’t able to maintain the momentum as the opposing squad erased their 19-point advantage.
